Trappist beers are brewed in abbeys and they must follow the traditions of the Trappist monks. Only beer who follows those traditions and are carried out or supervised by Trapist monks can be called Trappist. There are only seven Trappist abbeys left in the world where this beer is brewed. Six of those are located in Belgium. Trappist beers exists in three versions: blond, double/dark or tripple.
